National Sorry Day

National Sorry Day:

On 26 May each year, Australia recognises National Sorry Day.

During Week 5, each class researched National Sorry Day as well as some general information about Aboriginal and Indigenous Culture that each class found interesting. Each class prepared a poster to present and share with the rest of the school.

On Friday of Week 5, we all came together as a whole school to share our findings and present our posters. Each class presented 5 or more facts they had learnt. We also had a display of story books, Dreamtime Stories and some Aboriginal Artifacts.

It was a wonderful learning experience for all and an important part of our Aboriginal Education Program within our school. As a school we aim to do more regular group sharing sessions based on Aboriginal Culture.
